At The Zipper Hotel & Apartments, we showed that hospitality goes far beyond traditional services. The marathon weekend was the best example of this - combining sport, inspiration and community.
Community event for the marathon - Day 1
Our guests were treated to a special highlight to kick things off: ultra-marathon runner and entrepreneur Nicki Lange brought his Possibility project to The Zipper. It was the final chapter of a ten-year journey across deserts and mountains - always driven by the questions of what if and why not.
An evening full of perspectives - in the heart of Düsseldorf
In the community space high above the rooftops of Düsseldorf, Nicki didn't share stories about best times, but about mental strength, passion and overcoming limits. The first evening set the perfect scene for a marathon weekend full of inspiration

The second day was all about knowledge, training and enjoyment. A varied program awaited the guests in our Community Space with a view of the skyline:
- Training & nutrition with Yannik Lengenberg (Valeo Studio) - tips for optimal regeneration.
- Health & stress with Dr. Daniel Radke (RKM 740 Orthopaedics) - focus on knees, Achilles tendons & typical marathon challenges.
- Innovation & technology with Technogym - health check with the new check-up device.
- Pasta Night with Franz Home Kitchen - fresh energy for the marathon.
Marathon Day at The Zipper - Running, Celebration & Community
On the third day, the participants started with a grab-and-go breakfast from Oatly and Das Coffe. The marathon day got off to a perfect start with sunshine and a view of the skyline.
After the run, the after-run party continued at 4 pm in the Community Space. Together with guests, friends and families, we celebrated the end of this special weekend - with pizza from Milano Vice, drinks, music and a refreshing ice bath in the new Vallone Bath Ice Bath
Marathon X - Sport connects, creates experiences
The marathon weekend at The Zipper made it clear how sport, health and community can merge into a unique experience. From the Pasta Night to the After-Run Party - it was a weekend full of energy, exchange and unforgettable moments.
